[Guide] Understanding Equipment in CABAL 2

Equipment and Items, just like every MMORPG or hmm every games, they always hold a big role. In CABAL 2, there are thousands of items that can be collected all over Ektensia. In this post, I’m aiming for explaining Equipment and how to enhance them.

Equipment tooltip UI

First thing first, check out the Equipment tooltip UI, later I will name it as Equipment UI. This can be seen every time you move your mouse over an item or click on item link.

At the top position, the item name lays there. Item name is colourised, and the colour depends on rarity (grade) of item.

  • White White : Normal / Junk
  • Green Green : Fine
  • Blue Blue : Rare
  • Purple Purple : Heroic
  • Burnt Orange Burnt Orange : Legendary
  • Amber Amber : Epic

Next is the equipment type, it could be shoes / primary weapon / secondary weapon / gloves / …

Character Required Level / Class will be shown next, your character must be matched with the given class and level must be at least like stated for equipping the item.

Item Properties will show if the item can be traded, stored, refurbished…

Item Level is another info, it let us know how fine item is, higher Item Level means higher limitation for stats. This info will be the key factor for determining which Enhancing items needed to be used (look for more at Item Level below).

Item Basic Stats are stats that will be there, fixed for every item with the same name. These stats can be enhanced with Upgrade Core (look for more at: Enhancing with Upgrade Core below)

Item Random Stats are stats that will be randomly rolled for each of items, even they have the same item name, random stats can be different (in stats options and values). These stats can be enhanced with Ability Core (look for more at: Enhancing with Ability Core below)

Item Set Equipping Status will show how many items you equipped and how many are available for the whole set, detailed set bonus will be displayed as well, just a little below.

Item Level

Depends on Item Level (not the Character Required Level), the equivalent Core level should be used for enhancing item. For example, an item that required level 40 to equip but might need Core Level 50 for enhancing, because Item Level is 47, so the Lv 40 cores are not enough for enhancing it.

Enhancing with Upgrade Core

Enhancing with Upgrade Core is just like with others, right click on the Core, and put your item inside the slot. That’s all! But not all items you can enhance with Upgrade Core. Since Upgrade Core just increases the Basic stats, only items with Basic stats can be enhanced.

On success, basic stats of items will be raised. Bonus stats will be shown in pair of bracket ( and ).

Enhancing with Ability Core

Enhancing with Ability Core is just like with others, right click on the Core, and put your item inside the slot. That’s all! Ability Core increases the Random stats.

Bonus stats will be shown in pair of bracket ( and ). Current grade of enhancing with Ability Core will be shown after “Force Upgrade +x” for example, here is 2.

Enhancing with Force Core

Enhancing with Force Core is just like with others, right click on the Core, and put your item inside the slot. The main point here is Force Core is available to use with items with free slots only.

1. Black Waves, Monster Arena, Battlefields have been changed to integrated schedule for all

5. Costumes are now split into parts, players can choose parts to wear instead of wearing one full costume at once

6. Changes related to Quests “Questionable death” for the South Cartel

7. Improve the algorithm for finding the way for locating auto-route

8. Change the grade of “Thorny Yellow Stone” to Legendary

9. Improve effect for showing quests which are overlapped each other

10. Changes are applied for Labyrinth Forest scenario quests

11. Features for transforming Upgrading Core, Ability Core, Force Core, Refurbish Kit are changed to support up to items with level 100

12. Cost for transforming Upgrading Core, Ability Core are changed to the same with Refurbish Kit

13. Added a option for “Hide Conversation of other forces” (enemy sides)

14. NPC Gossip Lucille is now selling items which are purchasable with Force Crystal

15. Vault is now able to be located in Wire Map

16. Add feature that produces Production immediately 

  • Using “Instant Production Article” the production will be produced immediately 

Bug fixes:

1. Size of Wire Map is now fixed, no more abnormally displayed in certain situations

2. Fixed bug that items for the quest “(Repeat) East Cartel Recovery Operations” could not be collect in certain situations

3. Fixed bugs of Force Shielder Skill Recklessness

4. Fixed the error while clicking on linked items, the items description displayed abnormally

5. Fixed bugs related to showing the target HP and MP abnormally

 

Jul 14th 2015 Patch notes

1. Changes are applied to Production UI

  • By default 4 slots of the Production UI will be available
  • The limitation can be extended with Force Crystal
    • To the max: 12 slots
  • Depends on Production recipe:
    • Time is varies (and changed)
    • Each of production consumes a certain number of slots while producing

2. Skill “Wings of Awakening” of Force Blader options have been changed:

  • From: Increases all Magic Attack
  • To: Increase Darkness Magic Attack

3. Rudolph is now removed from Monster Arena
4. Appearance and icons are now changed to match with the level of manufactured items

1. Fixed bugs related to Extraction that caused unable to extract items
2. Easy Mode for dungeons has been fixed to not produce error when entering

 

Jul 21st 2015 Patch notes

1. Added the ‘Duel’ system.

  • Entry
    • Players can enter through War UI
    • Duel battles will be held between 19:00 and 1:00
    • Players can enter 5 times a day
  • Opponent matching
    • Players with level between 10 – 50 can enter
    • Players will be auto-matched with players with level -2/+2 
    • Players will be divided into ranges for better matching
  • Compensation
    • Win
      • EXP: 50,000
      • 2,000 Alz * Character Level
      • 200 Honour Point
    • Lose
      • EXP: 25 000
      • 500 Alz * Character Level
      • 50 Honour Point
  • Winning compensation
    • 20,000Alz will be rewarded for winning 3 battles 

2. Added “Escape” skill

  • Movement Skills of all characters will be learnt automatically
  • In town, unable to use Escape

3. Production changes, and related quests

  • Firstly player needs to pick production type then production item
  • Production can be changed at anytime with Skill Books from NPCs

4. Special Buff will be granted to winners of the War

  • Buff can be stacked up to 10 times
  • Buff is available in War time only
  • Buff details:
    • HP Max 15%
    • Accuracy 10%
    • PvP Damage 10%
    • PvP Defense 1o%

5. Monster Arena has been changed to allow entering solo

Bug fixes:

1. Fixed bugs related to “Cain’s Tomb”

2. Fixed bugs that caused monsters were trapped in frozen snows in Gray Canyon

3. Fixed the bug that caused monsters disappear in Monster Arena

4. Fixed the bug that caused Crack Items are unable to be extracted
